Q&A with Northeastern quarterback Diezel Taylor

How did/is everything going football wise as of late?
“Been going good. Had a slow start, aggravating an injury from baseball early in the season but got it going halfway through the season.”

What do you feel your team can continue to improve on going forward?
“Communication on the field. You can never have enough of that.”

Have you been pleased with your performances?
“Not at the first part of the season. Felt I got back to my norm halfway through the season once I was cleared to throw the ball.”

How do you feel about the play of your team?
“Felt that we set the expectation high in the off season and didn’t reach what was set. Have a lot to work on, especially up front.”

What are your sporting goals going forward as of now?
“Win State! I know we have the skill players and heart to do it. We are small and have been up front that makes it tough. Continue my athletic career to the next level. Play in college at a university that fits my style and be successful.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, football without a doubt.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Honestly, no specific one. Been really even across the board.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Have made several to Division II and Division III.”

Do you have plans for game day trips?
