Q&A with Dublin Scioto linebacker Nevin Densel

How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Not too bad, the record certainly didn’t reflect who we were. Played tough and to the end in every game and were much better than our record.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“Yes, I broke the school record for tackles in a season with 137 with it previously being 131.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“Our team played decently, we showed some flashes here and there but couldn’t finish the games out when we needed it most.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think we tend to put our heads down when we give up a big play or something doesn’t go our way and we need to improve our body language. Opposing teams likely see it and just start attacking when we aren’t there mentally.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Just continue to play our brand of football and give 110% every play.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I would love to play D1 football at any power 5 or Mac school.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been in touch with Miami OH, Western Michigan, Kent State, and Ohio U.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Miami Ohio.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not yet, however I’m going to Western Michigan on Nov 6th.”

Do you have plans for game day trips?
“Western Michigan Nov 6th, and Ohio U later on.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Always been an OSU fan growing up, my whole family takes OSU football very seriously.”
