How did the high school football season go overall?
“We had a good season, it was great to finally see and be a part of all the work that goes into the season at the Varsity level.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Finished up basketball last month, and was able to get back in the weight room with the guys. For people not playing any winter sports, they have been grinding since December and January.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think that we are going to have another great season and definitely shock some people with what we got. Most of our defense was juniors last year. 4 out of the top 6 tacklers in GWOC are back on our defense.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Every team on our schedule is going to be a good team. I can’t really choose one. GWOC is a great league for Friday night football. Our conference was 27-10 outside of league play. Having said that, I know our guys all have Springfield circled on our schedule as the team to beat.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Springfield’s DB Aaron Scott is the best DB in the country and Withrow’s Chris Henry Jr. is the best WR in the class of 26. So both are probably going to be our biggest test on each side of the ball. There will be hammers every Friday so there is always something to look forward to.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I want to play college football. It’s been my dream since I could hold a football and is the sport I’m pursuing the most to play at the collegiate level.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t been talking to any schools but working towards it.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“N/A.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I went on a visit to Purdue a couple weeks ago. Had a great time and got to see some big plays in their scrimmage.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“Putting together a plan for some college camps and looking to go to some games this fall.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I love the college atmosphere and enjoy being on college campuses. I’ve been to several schools and there’s nothing like the passion that college fans have when cheering for their team. My dad grew up in Tennessee and my sister went there for college so we have always been big UT fans. Having said that, I've also enjoyed going to college games in and around Ohio.”
